Edmond, OK Porcelain Veneers

A key ingredient in giving you a more youthful look may be porcelain veneers. As an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Jerome Cha has recognized expertise in creating beautiful smiles with porcelain veneers.

What are Porcelain Veneers?

Close-up photo that shows how thin a porcelain veneer is.Porcelain veneers are thin wafers of porcelain that are bonded directly to your teeth. Under the artistic hands of Dr. Jerome Cha, your smile will be absolutely transformed. We are so confident that you will love your new smile, that we even back it with a beautiful smile guarantee. There are some real advantages to using porcelain as the raw material from which your new smile design will be created. Porcelain perfectly mimics the natural translucency and sparkle you get with natural teeth. They are actually stronger and harder than natural tooth enamel, as well as more stain resistant, giving you added protection that you can’t get with your natural teeth alone.

Our Treatment Process

The first step to treatment with veneers is to determine your smile design. Dr. Cha starts by creating a computer simulation of what you would like your new smile to look like. He’ll be looking for your input, combined with his expert opinion to determine your ideal look.

Dr. Cha will then begin to create your new smile. He’ll first create a wax mock-up for you to approve. Once you approve that, he will lightly prepare your teeth and create a set of provisional veneers using a temporary material. This will give you a test drive of your new smile. Any adjustments you want can be easily made. When you are ready, he will then take an impression of your prepared teeth along with photographs and an impression of your provisional veneers and create in porcelain what you already decided you loved in the temporary material.

Once the porcelain veneers are ready, he will try them on. If you are absolutely happy with how they look, he will bond them on and you will begin enjoying the benefits of your beautiful new smile, just as Elona (shown below) and numerous other patients have done. What are Lumineers?

Lumineers are a specific brand of porcelain veneers. It is one of several brands of ultra-thin veneers. A traditional veneer is approximately 0.5 mm thick, while ultra-thin veneers, including Lumineers, can be as thin as 0.3 mm. Dr. Cha prefers to use other brands of ultra-thin veneers rather than Lumineers. This is because DenMat, the company that makes Lumineers, requires dentists to use their laboratory in order to use their material. Dr. Cha prefers to do his own lab work where he can be sure of the customized results. As an AACD-accredited dentist, he meets the highest standards of artistry to create gorgeous smiles.
