Edmond, OK Dental Implants
For the premium tooth replacement solution, you’ll want dental implants to restore the natural beauty and function of your teeth. Dr. Jerome Cha brings his over 30 years of experience with dental implant placement to provide complete functional and aesthetic restoration to patients as part of his facial rejuvenation treatments.
What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are artificial teeth that attach directly to your jawbone for the most natural look and feel. Each implant consists of a titanium post, an abutment, and a porcelain crown. Through surgical placement into your jawbone, the titanium fixture serves as the root of the new tooth and is connected to the crown via the abutment.
Advantages of Dental Implants
The aesthetic value of dental implants may be the first thing you love about them. Our implant crowns are individually crafted out of porcelain to blend in seamlessly with your smile. Strength and stability are another important benefit, one that will ensure that you continue to love your implants, even after much use. The embedded titanium fixture holds the implant firmly in place so that you can chew normally, without concern for your new tooth.
When all of your teeth are missing, dental implants can be used to anchor implant-supported dentures for a completely secure smile. Implants are also often an important part of full-mouth reconstruction, a series of procedures that rebuilds worn teeth to give you a complete smile makeover and reverse prominent facial effects of aging.
Dental Implants: Our Process
Before moving forward with implants, Dr. Cha first performs a comprehensive dental exam. During this visit, he will review your medical history to ensure you are a candidate for dental implant surgery. We will also take x-rays and a CBCT scan, which provides an important 3-dimensional view of your teeth, jaw, and nasal cavities. From this information Dr. Cha will be able to determine the proper placement of your implants. Once placement is established, it will be time to schedule your surgery.
Dr. Cha personally performs implant surgery for all of his patients, so you’ll be able to get everything taken care of in one convenient location. After surgery is complete, we’ll wait a few months for osseointegration to occur. During this time, the jawbone will fuse to the titanium fixture. Dr. Cha will affix your finished crowns or dentures to the embedded implants at the conclusion of this process.
