What are Fixed Implant Dentures?

Fixed implant dentures are implant-supported, which means that they are attached to the jaw through the use of dental implants. Also called a hybrid denture, our fixed implant denture replaces a full arch of teeth as well as some gum tissue and is held securely and permanently in place by four or more implanted fixtures. Because they are fixed in place, hybrid dentures offer the feeling and many of the benefits of having your own natural teeth back.

Our Process

The first step toward receiving your fixed implant dentures is a comprehensive dental exam with Dr. Cha. Here we will take x-rays, photos, and a CBCT scan. The CBCT scan gives a 3-dimensional view of your mouth, jaw, and nasal cavities so that Dr. Cha can determine the precise position of each implant. At this time, he will also discuss your ideal smile with you and come up with the design for your dentures that works best for you.

The next step is implant surgery, which is done in our office by Dr. Cha himself for your convenience. After surgery, he will attach a set of temporary dentures for you to wear while the implants fuse to your jaw bone, or osseointegrate, over the next few months. Once the process of osseointegration is complete, Dr. Cha will affix your permanent implant-supported dentures. You’ll go home with a new smile and all of the benefits it brings!
